| | Douglas A. Duncan CEO
Doug Duncan’s career began in the automotive business more than 25 years ago while attending the University of Georgia. He has held various management positions including F&I Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager. After gaining a thorough understanding of the retail side of the business, he obtained a position as an F&I Consultant for Voyager Automotive Group, a division of Primerica. In 1992, Doug formed Safe-Guard Products International, LLC with the simple philosophy of developing products that protect consumers from the perils of vehicle ownership while producing additional revenue for its clients. He continues to serve as the CEO of Safe-Guard and is responsible for the company’s overall strategic business initiatives. |
| | | Orlando J. Zayas President
As president of the company, Orlando Zayas is responsible for expanding Safe-Guard’s direct business, OEM partnerships and product portfolio. Zayas has served in many positions in the industry, from dealer-level finance director to president of a large warranty company. He attended the University of Houston for his undergraduate degree (bachelor’s degree in marketing) and is currently completing his Executive MBA at the University of Texas. |
| | | David A. Duncan Senior Vice President Dave Duncan has three decades of F&I experience at both the dealership level and in the ancillary products arena. As an executive with Safe-Guard, Dave has had a front-row seat to the dramatic transitions that have taken place in F&I and has played a contributing role in the introduction of many of the products now core to F&I offices throughout our industry. His approach offers a balance of dynamic sales and marketing techniques along with responsible risk management. Instrumental in growing Safe-Guard’s OEM, general agent and national account business, Dave manages the deployment of turnkey programs for F&I business units. Prior to joining the Safe-Guard team, Dave was President & CEO of Diversified Automotive Group, a national general agency. He has received numerous accreditations focused on automotive, finance and business management, including AFIP Certification. |
| | | Randall Barkowitz CFO
Randall Barkowitz joined Safe-Guard Products in March 2008 as Chief Financial Officer. With experience spanning over 12 years, Randy has worked with companies such as MCI, BellSouth, Hypercom Corporation and Warranty Corporation of America. Prior to joining Safe-Guard Products, Randy served as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer for Warranty Corporation of America. His responsibilities included management of all finance and operations for WaCA Norcross), Warranty Company of Canada (Montreal) and SatisFusion, Inc. (Peoria). In May of 2006, Randy completed the sale of Warranty Corporation to Asurion Corporation. Currently, he sits on the Board of Gramercy Insurance Company. |
| | | Damon A. Wiener, Esq. Vice President and General Counsel
Damon Wiener joined Safe-Guard in 2007 as Vice President and General Counsel. Damon has more than 10 years experience in the insurance and warranty industry. Damon began his career working for Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John W. Oxendine as an Enforcement Attorney and has subsequently held various legal positions supporting both the underwriter and administrator sides of the F&I business. Damon brings his industry expertise to Safe-Guard to oversee the Legal and Compliance Department. He attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate (bachelor’s degree in political science) and legal studies (juris doctorate). |
| | | Gary Volino COO
Gary Volino joined Safe-Guard in 2004 as Vice President of Operations. Gary previously worked for Price Waterhouse in the Business Process Reengineering practice. While employed by Price Waterhouse, Gary performed Business Process Reengineering and Financial Systems Consulting for various Fortune 1000 companies. His experience includes Six Sigma, TQM and ISO certifications. Gary was brought on board to develop a team to reengineer Contract Processing, Claims and Information Technology to enhance the efficiencies of the overall organization. Gary brings his 20 years of business process and financial experience to Safe-Guard operations and has helped automate all processes within the organization. |
| | | Kitty Haas Vice President of Marketing
Kitty Haas is one of the original members of the management team at Safe-Guard Products, joining the company in 1993. Prior to joining Safe-Guard, Kitty served in a variety of positions in the public relations arena. By joining Safe-Guard in the early development stages, she has an intricate understanding of the industry in both product knowledge and market response. As Vice President of Marketing, she has been a key contributor in the development and launch of several of Safe- Guard’s most successful products throughout her tenure at Safe-Guard. |
| | | Luis Garcia Director of Training and Development
Luis Garcia joined Safe-Guard Products in February 2008 as Director of Training and Development. Luis directs all Safe-Guard training initiatives, which focus on outreach to dealers and agents. He is on the road about 80 percent of the time, helping individual dealerships and agencies grow their F&I business. Luis has extensive product knowledge, menu selling mastery and objection handling expertise. Prior to joining Safe-Guard, Luis was a top F&I director for one of the nation’s largest dealer groups, consistently ranking among the top 2 percent of the company’s F&I managers. Luis literally grew up in the automotive business, coming from a family that has owned and operated dealerships in Florida and Georgia. He has a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in finance and accounting. |
